QuickCompressor was built around one architectural decision that shapes everything below: compression happens locally in your browser, using WebAssembly. Your image files are never transmitted to our servers.

Your images

When you drop an image into QuickCompressor, it's read directly into your browser's memory and processed by a WebAssembly module running on your device. We do not receive a copy, we do not store it, and it is never written to any server we control.

You can verify this yourself — open your browser's network tab while compressing an image and you'll see no upload traffic. Closing the tab clears the image entirely, because nothing was ever sent anywhere to begin with.
